Happiness Comes From Solving Problems
People who teach gratitude will often tell you to “just think positive thoughts.” Be grateful, and you’ll feel happy or joyful.
But that’s a momentary, oversimplified process; it doesn’t reach the root of what it means to be grateful for our experiences—the good and the bad.
After all, life is filled with mud and pain.
When trying to find our way through difficulty, it’s important to be careful with who we listen to when trying to get to the other side.
While positive thoughts can be a temporary solution, going straight to the source of our struggles allows us to discover the silver linings within. That’s gratitude.
Happiness doesn’t come from processing our positive moments, but rather, from solving our problems, moving through our pain, and discovering our resilience.
There’s real, scientific evidence behind this process, too. Don’t believe me? Check out the research here!
